Your payments are extra secure with MasterCard SecureCode, also known as 3D Secure. This is a personal password, similar to your PIN. When you make an online payment with your credit card, you enter this password. This way, you are better protected against misuse. Be sure to keep your MasterCard SecureCode confidential.
Creating the MasterCard SecureCode
The first time you make an online purchase using SecureCode, you will see a registration screen. Create a personal code here, just once. This code will serve as your password later. You can also use this personal code for secure payments on other websites.
Paying with Your MasterCard SecureCode
If you can pay online with MasterCard SecureCode, you will see its logo on your screen after entering your credit card number. A screen will automatically appear asking you to enter your password. By entering your password, you confirm the purchase. Not all online stores are affiliated with MasterCard SecureCode. On those websites, you can pay with your credit card as usual.
Forgot SecureCode
You can easily create your 3D Secure password during an online payment. Forgot your password? No worries, you can also reset it during the payment process.
