Setting up additional monthly repayments could not be easier

It may be beneficial to make additional repayments on your mortgage. Possible benefits include a lower monthly payment and reduced mortgage debt. You can make one large additional repayment, or make smaller monthly additional repayments. Additional monthly mortgage repayments start at € 25. Do it yourself on Internet Banking or in the ABN AMRO app. Read on to find out how.

- Log in to Internet Banking or your ABN AMRO app
- This will display a summary of your products
- Select your mortgage
Select additional monthly mortgage repayments

- Click the ‘additional monthly repayments’ link on Internet Banking
- Choose the loan part for which you want to make additional monthly repayments. If one of your loan parts is greyed out, you cannot make additional repayments towards this loan part on Internet Banking. If you still want to make an additional repayment towards this loan part, please get in touch with us
- You can try out what is most advantageous for you for each loan part and repayment amount
Mobile Banking
- In the ABN AMRO app, click ‘Self-service’ and then your ABN AMRO mortgage
- Click ‘Change mortgage’ at the bottom of the page
- Choose the loan part for which you want to make additional monthly repayments
- Now click the pencil icon next to ‘Loan part details’
- Next, select ‘additional monthly repayments’
- You can try out for each loan part what is most advantageous for you
Sign
- Take some time to consider your decision and to review the information
- When you have made your choice, check the order confirmation with the summary
- Your additional mortgage repayment will only be submitted after you have signed the order with your e.dentifier.
You can make additional repayments for multiple loan parts at the same time. If your account balance is insufficient, the additional repayment will not be made.

If you sign your request before 11.59 pm on the 26th of the month, your mortgage loan amount and monthly payment will be updated on the 1st working day of the following month. If you sign later, your mortgage loan amount and monthly payment will be updated on the 1st working day of the month after that. If this means that you will temporarily be paying too much interest, we will, of course, refund overpaid interest. We will then proceed to deduct the overpaid interest from your new mortgage loan amount.

Frequently asked questions about additional monthly mortgage repayments

When will the additional monthly mortgage repayment start?

If you submit your request before the 10th of the month, your additional monthly mortgage repayments will start on the 1st day of the following month. If you send your request after the 10th, your additional monthly mortgage repayments will start one month later.

Maximum additional monthly repayments

You can make fee-free additional mortgage repayments every year. This is what we refer to as the fee-free allowance. Check Internet Banking or the ABN AMRO app to see the fee-free allowance for your mortgage. If you want to make additional monthly mortgage repayments, each monthly repayment can be 1/12 of your total fee-free allowance. The minimum amount for additional monthly mortgage repayments is € 25.

What if you want to cancel or change your additional monthly mortgage repayments?

Log in and go to the loan part for which you are making additional repayments. Next, select cancel or change.
