If you’re planning to renovate your home to make it more sustainable, and you take out a Duurzaam Wonen Hypotheek (Sustainable Home Mortgage), Energiespaarbudget (Energy-Efficiency Budget) or Energiebesparende voorzieningen (Energy-Efficiency Measures) before 31 December 2024, you’ll receive a free voucher from us for an energy label worth €295. Take a look at the terms and conditions and make a no-obligations appointment to discuss financing options for your sustainable renovation.
With an energy label, you can see how energy efficient a home is. An energy-efficient home often means lower energy costs, more comfortable living and is better for the environment. The energy label is expressed in classes A to G. A home with energy label A (or higher) is very energy efficient, while a home with energy label G is much less energy efficient. Very energy-efficient homes are given an extra specification, for example energy label A+.
Since 1 January 2021, the 'Simplified Energy Label' has been replaced by a new, more extensive energy label.
Not all homes have a valid registered energy label. Via Milieu Centraal (in Dutch), you can easily see what your current energy label is and how long it is valid.
You can have your energy label registered by an approved energy adviser. The energy adviser will visit to inspect your home and record data, such as the presence of insulation. An energy performance calculation will then be made. The energy label is valid for 10 years.
Check your current energy label on the Milieu Centraal website (in Dutch).
Make an appointment (in Dutch) with an energy adviser. He or she will visit to inspect your home, record data and carry out an energy performance calculation.
You will receive an energy label statement from your energy adviser. If you have energy label B or higher and want to take advantage of the sustainability discount, this is possible at the start of a new fixed-rate period, or if you register the energy label within 24 months of the start of your fixed-rate period.

Energy efficiency measures may help you reduce your energy consumption.
A sustainable home is better for the environment. After all, your fossil fuel consumption is much lower.
An insulated home is less draughty and retains heat better.
