Urgent Payments

Your money is transferred within 1.5 hours

Need to transfer money fast within the Netherlands? An urgent payment gets the job done within no more than 1.5 hours – provided we receive the order before 4.15pm (Access Online) or before 4.30pm (Internet Banking). Urgent payments made to other banks in the weekend are processed before 8am on Monday.

 

Do you want to transfer money to ABN AMRO accounts within the Netherlands? Then there is no need for an urgent payment. All transfers from and to ABN AMRO accounts will be credited to the recipient's account immediately.

Please note: urgent payments outside the Netherlands are subject to different conditions.

Online

Urgent payments can be entered and scheduled via Internet Banking and Access Online 24/7. This is cheaper and easier than arranging an urgent payment at a branch.

Branch

You can also make an urgent payment at one of our branches during business hours. Remember to bring along a valid ID.

What accounts are suitable for urgent payments?

Urgent payments can be made from all current accounts. Your savings accounts (personal and business), securities accounts, Flexible Credit and Mortgage Credit cannot be used.

How can I see if a credit transfer can be credited immediately to the recipient's account?

The following message will then appear in the summary of the entry: 'With the recipient: immediately'. If the recipient's bank does not (yet) co-operate, you will see: 'With the recipient: within 1 working day'.
