How to log in with the app

Are you going to use the ABN AMRO app for the first time? First download the app on your device. After downloading, activate the ABN AMRO app for use.

Block or unblock your debit card

Have you lost your debit card? Blocking is easy in the ABN AMRO app. This also applies to unblocking. For example, if you have entered the wrong PIN number 3 times in a shop.

Adjusting your limit

Would you like to be able to temporarily withdraw or spend more money? You can arrange this securely and easily in the ABN AMRO app. Even if you are already in the shop. Successful? Then you can immediately lower your limit again.

Set up a payment alert

Want to stay informed about your balance? Set up payment alerts for free. You will be notified when an amount has been debited or credited. You immediately know when your balance changes.

  • You need internet access to use the app. If you use mobile internet, your mobile phone network service provider may charge costs for this.

  • Device registration is a mandatory part of our app security. We recognise you not only by your identification code, but also by the device you use for banking. You can only use the app if all this information is correct. 
  • When you use the Mobile Banking app for the first time, you choose an identification code. You use this personal code to log in and transfer money. Staying within your daily limit? Then you do not need an e.dentifier. Read more about transferring without an e.dentifier.
  • Do you have a device with Touch ID or fingerprint? You can also log in and transfer money within your daily limit with this. You then use your fingerprint instead of your identification code. Read more about  your fingerprint and Mobile Banking.
  • With a jailbroken or rooted device, you can download apps that have not been checked by the official app stores. These types of apps can harm your device or other apps. We think this is very unsecure for the Mobile Banking app. That is why we no longer support the operation of the Mobile Banking app on jailbroken or rooted devices. You cannot use all the functions of Mobile Banking on such a device (for example fingerprint) either.
  • We do everything we can to ensure that you can bank securely. However, it is just as important that you know how to handle your device and your data securely. Read tips for secure Mobile Banking.
