To find out why a direct debit has been rejected, or when one will be debited from your account, you can check your direct debits on Internet Banking or in the ABN AMRO app. Read on to find out how to do this.
How to check whether a direct debit has been rejected
In the ABN AMRO app
Open the app and log in.
Tap the account for which you want to check the direct debits.
Under the green bar, place your finger on 'Transaction' and slide the row to the left.
Then tap 'Pending and rejected'.
Check whether the direct debit was rejected. (rejected direct debits will be visible in this overview for 45 days).
On Internet Banking
Log in to Internet Banking
Click your current account
On the left-hand side, click 'Direct debits'
Any direct debits that have been rejected will be listed under 'Rejected direct debits' (rejected direct debits will be visible in this overview for 45 days).
How to check which direct debits will be debited from your account shortly
In the ABN AMRO app
Open the app and log in.
Tap the account for which you want to check the direct debits.
Under the green bar, place your finger on 'Transaction' and slide the row to the left.
Then tap 'Future' and view the upcoming direct debits.
On Internet Banking
Log in to Internet Banking
Click your current account
On the left-hand side, click 'Direct debits'
Direct debits will be announced 2-5 days prior to execution by the debtor. These will be listed under 'Settled direct debits'
