Preferred Banking is a service by ABN AMRO, specially designed for expat clients who we want to offer quick and personal access to tailored advice, additional knowledge and other benefits.

Who’s it for and what are the criteria?

Preferred Banking is for expat ABN AMRO clients who meet the following criteria: they are aged over 18, live in the Netherlands, and have liquid assets of between €100,000 and €500,000 and/or have a personal ABN AMRO account into which a minimum amount of money* is paid each month.

If you meet the criteria but haven’t received an invitation, don’t worry. The invitations are being spread over an introduction period lasting several months, so that we can make sure new Preferred Banking clients receive a proper introduction to the service and optimum support. Your invitation may therefore take longer to arrive.

Selected clients can use this service as often as they like. Preferred Banking gives you instant access to exclusive contact options (COACH), articles (SMART) and special offers (BENEFITS). We’ll send out a monthly email with updates on the service and special offers.

You can visit the web pages to access every part of Preferred Banking. In the future, you will also be able to access parts of Preferred Banking in the ABN AMRO app and on Internet Banking.

How can I make sure I’m able to access all the benefits?

You will receive an invitation by email and post. Scan the QR code in the letter or follow the link in the email and follow the on-screen steps to confirm your details. This makes sure you’re able to access all the benefits.

We’ll send you a Preferred Banking News email about once month with news and updates about the service and benefits. This email will be sent to the email address you have shared with us. Please click the link below to check your email address and change it if needed.

How can I become a Preferred Banking client?
