You’ve booked a few holiday trips to look forward to, great! Annual travel insurance is perfect if you go on holiday several times a year and want to be covered all year round. It covers you as standard for things like extra costs due to a natural disaster or having to return home early following a serious accident. It's possible to take out additional covers. For instance for medical costs or cancelation.

You have a €50 excess on your luggage and money as standard. You can also set your excess at €125 when you apply. You will then receive a discount on your premium, but you will also receive less compensation in the event of a claim.
Premium
The premium depends on the cover you choose, your family situation and your excess amount.
The standard excess on luggage and cash is €50 per event. You can also opt for an excess of €125. If you do, you will receive a 20% discount on the premium for the basic cover.
Insurance tax
You will be charged 21% insurance tax on the annual travel insurance premium and costs. This amount will be included in the calculation of your premium. The premium is taxed in part and the insurance tax depends on your family situation. In any case, you will be charged insurance tax on the premium for additional cover: cancellation charges, winter sports cover, roadside assistance in Europe and business travel cover.
Commission
ABN AMRO Bank N.V. provides personal customers with non-life insurance products on behalf of ABN AMRO Schadeverzekering N.V. We receive a fee of 10% of the premium for this. The exact commission is stated in the premium calculation. You can read more about our services on our non-life insurance information sheet .
You can choose whether to have the insurance policy commence on the next day or at a later date (maximum six months in the future).
If you opt for the additional Cancellation Costs cover, the insurance policy must start within 7 days of booking your trip, unless the departure date is more than a month after the policy's start date.
After taking out this insurance policy, you have 14 days to cancel the insurance free of charge. Simply return the policy document within 14 days of taking out the insurance to
