I have submitted a claim. What now?

Claim assessment

ABN AMRO Verzekeringen will assess what has happened, whether your claim is covered, and what costs are involved. ABN AMRO Verzekeringen may bring in a claims adjuster to assess the exact extent of the loss or damage with you. The claim adjuster will establish what caused the loss or damage, assess the extent of the loss or damage, and draw up a report. They will also go over the next steps in the process with you.

Repairing damage

If the damage is covered by ABN AMRO Verzekeringen, the next step is to get it repaired. ABN AMRO Verzekeringen can select a repair shop for you, but you can also go to a repair shop of your own choosing. You will then be reimbursed the repair costs. If there is an excess on your insurance, it will be deducted from the reimbursement. If your damage is not covered, it will be up to you to have it repaired and pay for it yourself.

Checking the status of my claim
