A mortgage is a loan, most commonly used to buy a home. In the Netherlands, you can borrow up to 100% of the value of the property. If you are looking to buy a home and want to take out a mortgage, you should first calculate the maximum amount you can borrow. As soon as you have done that, you can make an appointment for a free orientation meeting with our specialist mortgage adviser to go over your options.
If you have already put in an offer on a home and this has been accepted, we will set up a second meeting with a mortgage adviser: the mortgage advice meeting. This is when you choose:
- a Budget Mortgage (Budget Hypotheek) or a Home Mortgage (Woning Hypotheek)
- the mortgage type
- either with a fixed or a variable interest rate (this determines your repayments)
One of our mortgage advisers will help you make these choices. Make an appointment and you can come in for a meeting within 24 hours.
