Features and conditions

If you have an ABN AMRO payment package with a current account that your income is paid into every month, you may be able to get a 0.20% client discount on your fixed-rate mortgage interest. You’re eligible if you meet the following conditions.

 

Who is eligible for the client discount?

  • You’re eligible if you have an ABN AMRO payment package with a current account that your income is paid into every month. This can be income from employment, a benefit or a pension, or from your own business or rental activities.
  • Medical business owners who have their income paid into an ABN AMRO Medical Account are also eligible, and don't need an ABN AMRO payment package.

When do you receive the client discount?

  • When you take out a new mortgage or negotiate a new fixed-rate period.
  • On the date when your fixed-rate period expires (interest rate review). If your fixed-rate period has already started, you can no longer get a client discount during that period.
  • If you change your interest rate during the fixed-rate period, whether you do this through interest rate averaging or by paying a one-off fee.

What are the conditions?

  • Your income must be paid into an ABN AMRO current account. If your income stops being paid into this account, your client discount will stop right away and you’ll pay a higher mortgage interest rate.
  • You can have no more than one other discount. For instance, you can combine the client discount with either the sustainability discount or with an employer arrangement, but not with both.
  • You receive the client discount on the fixed-interest part of your loan. You do not receive a client discount on loan parts with a variable interest rate, Euribor-linked interest rate or buffer interest rate.
