It may be beneficial to make additional repayments on your mortgage. Possible benefits include a lower monthly payment, shorter mortgage term, and less mortgage debt. Do it yourself in My Mortgage on Internet Banking or in the ABN AMRO app. You will get instant confirmation of your new monthly payment and the fees involved. Read on to find out how.

You can make additional repayments for multiple loan parts at the same time. If your account balance is insufficient, the additional repayment will not be made.
If you action your request before 11.59 pm on the 26th of the month, your mortgage loan amount and monthly payment will be updated on the 1st working day of the following month. If you action the payment later, your mortgage loan amount and monthly payment will be updated on the 1st working day of the month after that. If this results in temporarily be paying too much interest, we will, of course, refund overpaid interest. We will then proceed to deduct the overpaid interest from your new mortgage loan amount.
You can download the confirmation. Please note! This confirmation will only be shown only once.
In some cases, additional repayments are subject to a fee. This is what we refer to as an early repayment fee. Check Internet Banking or the ABN AMRO app to see the maximum additional repayment you can make without incurring a fee. If your additional repayment is subject to a fee, we will calculate it before you submit the order. You can view the specification and explanation before continuing.
You can only make additional repayments on Internet Banking for interest-only, annuity or linear mortgages. If you want to make additional repayments for another type of mortgage, please contact us.
