Payment status

Check the status of your payments online

You can easily check the status of your payments online using Internet Banking or the ABN AMRO app to find out whether your payments are still being processed or have been rejected. Read on to find out where you can view your payment’s status.

  1. Open the app and log in. 
  2. Tap the account for which you want to check the transactions. 
  3. Under the green bar, place your finger on 'Transaction' and slide the row to the left. 
  4. Then tap 'Pending and rejected'. 
  5. Here, you can see the status of your payments.
    (rejected payments will be visible in this overview for 45 days, you can't delete them earlier in the ABN AMRO app)

Internet Banking

  1. Click the button below and log in.
  2. Select the account for which you want to check the transactions.
  3. All transactions will be displayed in the overview.
  4. Find ‘Transactions’ on the left.
  5. Click below on 'Pending' or 'Rejected' to view the status of your payments.
    (rejected payments will be visible in this overview for 45 days, you can delete them earlier on Internet Banking)
 

In progress or rejected

Find out below which payments you can view under ‘In progress’ and ‘Rejected’.

  • Credit transfers in euro to a foreign account outside of the SEPA area and credit transfers in a foreign currency are displayed under ‘In progress’ because they cannot always be processed straight away.
  • Payments for which the account number and/or name are incorrect are displayed under ‘Rejected’.
  • In case you transfer money and the balance of your account is insufficient, the credit transfer is displayed under ‘Pending’. Do you raise your balance within 4 working days? Then, the payment will be executed. Otherwise, the payment will be displayed under ‘Rejected’.
  • In case a direct debit is to be debited from your account and the balance of your account is insufficient, the direct debit is displayed under ‘Pending’. Do you raise your balance within 4 working days from the date of the direct debit? Then, the direct debit will be executed. Otherwise, the direct debit will be displayed under ‘Rejected’.

How to delete a rejected credit transfer

Rejected payments will be visible in your overview for 45 days, after which they will disappear automatically. You can delete the rejected payment earlier yourself on Internet Banking, but you can’t do this in the ABN AMRO app. How to delete a rejected payment on Internet Banking:

  1. Go to Internet Banking and click the account from which the credit transfer was rejected.
  2. On the left, select ‘Rejected’ and click the credit transfer in question. 
  3. Click ‘Delete’.
