Welcome!

We welcome refugees from Ukraine to open a current account with ABN AMRO. This way it is possible to manage your everyday banking in a secure, fast and simple way.

A bank account with 1 debit card costs  €3.25 per month.

As of 1 January 2025 we change the fees and conditions of our payment products. Read more about these changes.

How it works

Refugees from Ukraine can only open a bank account using their mobile phone. Opening an account and providing proof of identity in the form of a valid international Ukrainian passport, a citizen service number (BSN) and an (official) address in the Netherlands can be done within the ABN AMRO app. Your ABN AMRO debit card will be delivered within a few business days to the address you have provided.

In order to open an account, you need the following:

  • Valid international Ukrainian passport
  • Official residential address in the Netherlands
  • BSN (Citizen Service Number)
Don't have a BSN yet? Then you can still open an account. However, you must provide us with your BSN within 90 days after opening your account.
