Why reset?

You can add additional functionality to your   by installing so-called  . Such extensions often change your browser settings but sometimes extensions get corrupted. This can cause problems in Internet Banking. You can solve this yourself by resetting your browser settings.

What browser am I using?

Go to the menu or the icon you normally use to open your browser. It will show the name of the browser.

How to reset your browser settings

  1. Click the three dots in the top right corner of the menu bar.
  2. Next, click 'Settings'.
  3. Click 'Advanced' at the bottom of the window.
  4. Scroll all the way down to the 'Reset settings' section and click the white bar that reads 'Restore settings to their original defaults'.
  5. In the pop-up window, click 'Reset settings'.
  1. Click 'Safari' in the top left corner.
  2. Click 'Preferences'.
  3. Click the 'Advanced' tab.
  4. Scroll down and tick the 'Show develop menu in menu bar' box.
  5. Close the 'Advanced' tab by clicking the red dot.
  6. Click 'Develop' at the top of the menu.
  7. Select 'Empty Caches'.

Microsoft Edge does not let you reset browser settings.

  1. Click the menu button in the top right corner (the hamburger icon).
  2. Next, click the question mark at the bottom of the window.
  3. Click 'Troubleshooting Information'.
  4. Click the 'Refresh Firefox' button.
  5. Also click the 'Refresh Firefox' button in the pop-up window.
 

Log in to Internet Banking again

  1. Log in again now.
  2. Check whether the problem has been solved.
