Managing your wearable

Now you have got your wearable, all you need to do to start using it is activate it. Read on to find out how to activate and manage your wearable.

How to find your personal card number

On Internet Banking

  1. Log in with the QR code.
  2. Go to ‘Settings’.
  3. Select ‘Manage wearables’ under ‘Payments, PIN payments & transfers’.
  4. Your personal card number is listed under ‘Debit card details’.

  1. Log in with the QR code.
  2. Go to ‘Profile’.
  3. Go to ‘Accounts and payments’ and select ‘Debit cards' > 'Manage wearables’.
  4. Your card number is listed under ‘Debit card details’

How to activate your wearable

On Internet Banking

  1. Log in with the QR code.
  2. Go to ‘Settings’.
  3. Select ‘Manage wearables’ under ‘Payments, PIN payments & transfers’.
  4. Tap ‘Activate’ under ‘New wearables’.
  5. Enter only the last 6 characters (numbers and letters) of the serial number (see the inside of the wearable packaging). Please note: you do not need a serial number for a smartwatch.
  6. Read the terms and conditions for wearable payments and select ‘Activate’.
  7. Confirm 

The wearable is now active, as you can see from the colour green. Your wearable is now also listed under ‘Active wearables’.

  1. Log in with the QR code.
  2. Go to ‘Profile’.
  3. Go to ‘Accounts and payments' > 'Debit cards and wearables’ and select ‘Manage wearables’.
  4. Tap ‘Activate’ under ‘New wearables’.
  5. Enter only the last 6 characters (numbers and letters) of the serial number (see the inside of the wearable packaging). Please note: you do not need a serial number for a smartwatch.
  6. Read the terms and conditions for wearable payments and select ‘Activate’.
  7. Tap to confirm 

The wearable is now active, as you can see from the colour green. Your wearable is now also listed under ‘Active wearables’.

How to block your wearable

  1. Log in with the QR code.
  2. Go to ‘Settings’.
  3. Select ‘Manage wearables’ under ‘Payments, PIN payments & transfers’.
  4. Go to your active wearable under ‘Manage wearables’.
  5. Under ‘Settings’, set the slider to ‘Inactive’.

Your wearable has now been blocked.

In the ABN AMRO app

  1. Log in with the QR code.
  2. Go to ‘Profile’.
  3. Go to ‘Accounts and payments' > 'Debit cards and wearables’ and select ‘Manage wearables’.
  4. Go to your active wearable under ‘Manage wearables’.
  5. Under ‘Settings’, set the slider to ‘Inactive’.

Your wearable has now been blocked.

How to unblock your wearable

  1. Log in with the QR code.
  2. Go to ‘Settings’.
  3. Select ‘Manage wearables’ under ‘Payments, PIN payments & transfers’.
  4. Go to your inactive wearable under ‘Manage wearables’.
  5. Set the slider to ‘Active’.
  6. Confirm 

Your wearable has now been unblocked.

  1. Log in with the QR code.
  2. Go to ‘Profile’.
  3. Go to ‘Accounts and payments' > 'Debit cards and wearables’ and select ‘Manage wearables’.
  4. Go to your inactive wearable under ‘Manage wearables’.
  5. Set the slider to ‘Active’.
  6. Tap to confirm

Your wearable has now been unblocked.

How to cancel the service and what to do if your wearable is broken

Please note: if you remove your watch, you may be charged to have it linked to your account again. This does not apply to a smartwatch or fitness tracker.

  1. Log in with the QR code.
  2. Go to ‘Settings’.
  3. Select ‘Manage wearables’ under ‘Payments, PIN payments & transfers’.
  4. Go to the active wearable under ‘Active wearables’.
  5. Tap the recycle bin to remove the wearable.
  6. Tap ‘Yes’ to confirm.

You have now cancelled your wearable.
